Happy New Year, Again!

Hi all,

Another year has passed and some things have changed.

1) My husband and I are expecting our first child, due May 28, 2018. We are beyond excited but nervous at the same time. We are thankful to have the support of our family and friends.

2) I have not been doing much crafting this last year as I really haven’t been motivated. I am currently trying to destash to make room for the baby as my craft room is going to be converted to a nursery.

3) I was still going strong in my exercise class but that had to come to a stop when I pulled a calf muscle then later finding out I was pregnant and restricted to only walking or swimming. I never thought I would be saying this but I do miss exercising and all the socializing.

4) Marley celebrated her 5th birthday on October 16th and Tilly will be celebrating her 2nd birthday on January 24th. The two are completely opposite but we wouldn’t change it for anything.

Here’s to hoping to get a bit more creative, projects will probably have to do with the baby’s room as the internet is full of ideas.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I know I haven’t blogged since last year and I hope to do more this year. I do not set new resolutions but I am trying to start planning better (I received a planner as a gift).

A few things have changed since my last post –

1) I’m a mum to not one but two Staffies – Marley (4) and Tilly (11 months). We received Tilly on May 13, 2016. Let us just say at first Marley was not impressed to have someone following her everywhere but now she has grown to tolerate her little sister just like any little sister, hehe.

2) I started going to an exercise class three days a week and am still going (big accomplishment if you know me).I am thankful for joining this exercise class because I have made a lot of new friends and have more people who keep me accountable.

3) I also was able to go home (Texas) for Thanksgiving for two weeks. I enjoyed the time I was able to spend with my family and friends and to see how my nieces and nephew had grown since I last saw them. I think the next time (hopefully June 2017) I visit my nephew will definitely be taller than me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope to get more creative this year. I am currently working on a project for one of my girlfriend’s engagement session.

Three Day Weekend

Hello everyone!

I hope that you had a nice long weekend. We had a very lovely Good Friday, the weather was gorgeous so we took Marley on a walk and she decided to jump in haha.

Isn’t the view gorgeous? I am truly blessed to live on this gorgeous island (Bermuda).12888595_10209140383496624_4942871587139965498_o copy.png

I have not created any cards but I did create some last minute Easter place cards for our Sunday brunch. I used my Silhouette Cameo and the following files: Spring Bunnies Set and Thanksgiving Place Cards.

I think I seriously need to get one of those foldios to take better pictures of my cards and things.

To end this post, I thought I’d share with you a cute photo of Marley, the Easter Staffy.

Finding My Mojo

Happy Palm Sunday!

Lately I have been in a funk with my crafting mojo. I am hoping that I am not alone when I say this, I see soooooo much inspiration on Instagram and say oh I should do that but then doubt myself and never get to it.

Yesterday I was inspired by @kreativekymona on Instagram so I finally made myself go in my craft room and create several cards. I usually just create the backgrounds but this time forced myself to finish all 8 cards.

Kymona had chosen four colors but I decided to omit one.

I started off with some Neenah Solar White and heat embossed some Hero Arts white embossing powder, I used the crosses from Simon Says Stamp Rejoice Stamp set. I then started with Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Cracked Pistachio. I started off light but got a little heavy handed and ended up with a bold look for one card and I forced myself to make a light one.

I then took two other stencils from Simon Says Stamp – Mosaic Heart and Screened Leaves (I think the leaves look like Easter Eggs). For the bold cross background I used the Simon Says Stamp Easter Die and cut out a piece out of the colored background then cut several more from a honey colored cardstock and stacked them all together to give it some dimension. For the other cards I just used more stamp images from SSS Rejoice Stamp set and heat embossed it.

I hope you enjoy the cards! I am hoping to be at a craft fair this Tuesday if I can get off of my 9-5 job. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below. Have a lovely week!

Hello

Hello.

Happy Friday!

This is my first post and I really don’t know what to say.

I figured I would start a blog so that I could share my creations for those of you who are not on any social media like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey.

Wishing you a good weekend!

Take care.
